CodeBot - STEM Club plan

I created a plan for my STEM club.

The students really enjoy participating STEM club and exploring their options in STEM related careers.

My first implementation step is to encourage students to join STEM club and introduce the stations for the CodeBots.

The support I would need would be from my school administration and my fellow teachers.

Love that your students are into STEM club — that enthusiasm is honestly half the battle when introducing something new like CodeBot!

A few thoughts that might help as you rally admin and fellow teachers behind the plan:

  • When pitching to administration, framing CodeBot around career exploration (which you already mentioned) tends to land well — robotics + Python is a nice bridge to actual industry skills.
  • For fellow teachers, the station-based approach is a great hook. It doesn’t require them to become Python experts overnight — kids can rotate through and self-drive a lot of the learning.
  • If it helps, the Firia Labs resources site has some materials that can be handy when explaining the platform to non-CS colleagues or admin.

Excited to hear how the rollout goes once you get the stations set up!
